Desert Tech Declines Pakistan Contract

Desert Tech, formerly Desert Tactical Arms, has turned down a contract to supply rifles to Pakistan. They announced it on their Facebook page on January second, the name change on December 16th (press release below). The scoop is simply that DT worried their firearms could be used against American soldiers, though Pakistan is an ally, the concern is of the enemies of American soldiers on their soil. Whether it was a PR stunt or validation, the message on Facebook has gathered them several thousand “likes”.

On a related note, Desert Tech took submissions from 99 Designs for a logo – a type of logo contest with a cash payment for the winner, Though it now looks like they are using a different logo than the one selected.
